Started with PPR in 2004, which was acquired by CoStar in 2009.- Architect and lead developer for CompassCRE, the industry leading commercial mortgage risk analysis application. - Architect and lead developer for the PPR Portal, PPR’s main web platform for delivering content and analysis. - Architect and lead developer for the CoStar Data Explorer (CDE), an internal business intelligence and reporting tool for qualifying, combining, aggregating, and querying the various data sources used by PPR/CoStar market and quantitative analysts. - Architect and team lead for the PPR Data Foundation, an internal project to redesign and rebuild PPR’s internal data management systems from scratch.

Contracting for IBM, developing and supporting software for the Hardware Common Tools division. - Lead developer for the Supplier Quality Management System, a web-based application used by IBM executives, manufacturers, and commodity suppliers for analyzing and tracking part quality. - Customized the e4eNet application, extending and integrating Issue Management with ECAD and MCAD tools. - Consulted on and supported the process of deploying e4eNet as an IBM companywide engineering collaboration tool.

- Responsible for all client-side application development including client-server communication, GUI applications, enterprise integration and 3rd party software integration. - Supervised Java development practices and implementation of e4eNet applications. - Designed and implemented multiple GUI multi-user client/server applications. - Designed and implemented a client facing scripting environment for automating common functions using Jython. - Developed and maintained a web based 2D/3D mechanical data viewing application with support for view manipulation, markup and measurement. - Pioneered the use of Ant build scripts for fully automating application builds.

UrbanSim is a state-of-the-art system for simulating urban land use, transportation, and environmental impacts. - Developed software for loading, integrating, analyzing and manipulating data from many disparate sources. - Created a GUI for configuring and interacting with the UrbanSim modeling system. - Designed and implemented a plug-in framework for dynamically loading custom built simulation modules. - Optimized UrbanSim software to reduce runtime and memory footprint. - Designed and implemented algorithms for operating on spatially located data. - Developed a viewer for vector and raster based characteristics using GeoTools mapping toolkit.
