Hi! My name is Michael and I have had the privilege of being an Application Engineer and Program Manager for over 18 years, focused on Infotainment, Consumer Connectivity, Wireless Charging, High-Speed Connection systems, and Electrical Centers. I was promoted in May 2018 to supervise Aptiv’s PACE Award winning Consumer Connectivity Application Engineering team, dedicated to the implementation of CarPlay, Android Auto, USB integration, wireless charging for consumer devices, and static wireless vehicle charging, while trying to expand my knowledge of vehicle electrical systems.My main responsibilities have included specification reviews, change management, sample tracking, design, budget control, open issues resolution, logistics, validation, quality, design, after sales and service. Managing these systems for connectivity modules, radios, displays and integrated center stacks components. Previous to my time in Infotainment, I was a co-op Electrical Engineering student at Kettering University where I worked for a tier 1 seating and interior components supplier where I specialized in sound quality and NVH. I wrote my thesis on the correlation of a homogeneous material's airflow resistance to its acoustical impedance. In my spare time, I manage the finances of my condo association board; and you may hear me rocking out playing piano with a band of ER doctors; or, hiking and schneeshuhing the Swiss alps.
