The promise of continuous awareness and intelligence in-an-instant is increasingly valuable to high-tech manufacturers supporting the global demands for semiconductors, to partners in utilities handling millions of smart meters, and in many other industries. My team of sales engineers handles demonstrations of our product suite, including the core database and broader, cloud-native platform. We also handle RFIs, RFPs, workshops, proof-of-concepts, proof-of-value, value proposals, value reviews, and more. I acted as chief architect of the MBO program aligning tactical objectives with strategic goals and incorporating popular goal-setting frameworks (SMART, OKRs, and BSQ). I've set up a pod structure for opps where SEs fit into one or more of the 3 typical roles (value engineer / technical account manager, demo build / present, pre-delivery management) and shadow more experienced SEs. I initially led the Sales Engineering group focused on Industry, and now lead the Financial Services group as well, in addition to extensive work with partners like Amazon and Microsoft on our combined cloud-based offering.

I joined TIBCO through the acquisition of StreamBase and initially helped enable the global Sales Engineering team to learn about streaming analytics. I gained specialization with other products including Data Virtualization (formerly known as Composite / Cisco Information Server), Data Science (formerly known as Statistica), Spotfire, BusinessEvents, BusinessWorks, EMS/FTL/RV, LogLogic, and Nimbus/BPM. I worked as an overlay for all of the Americas, and on a small SWAT team of product experts. I supported manufacturers in high-tech, discrete, and pharmaceuticals; insurance and credit card companies; sell-side banks and buy-side funds; etcTaken private in 2014 for $4.3B; and merged with Citrix in 2022

I joined as a contract engineer, was quickly hired full-time to develop trading frameworks (especially for FX aggregation), then put into the field as a Sales Engineer. I supported top broker-dealers, banks, and hedge funds and, in addition to SE work, acted as product evangelist for our live datamart offering.Acquired by TIBCO in 2013, where our business unit experienced 200% growth.
