Duties include, but not limited to, designing t-lines in the voltage range from 69kV to 345kV that conform to min. criteria defined in the National Electric Safety Code (NESC), Rural Utilities Service (RUS), and California General Order No. 95 (GO95). Work with project managers and clients to design and analyze transmission lines and meet client requirements for successful completion of projects. Conduct structural analysis/design while considering construction and operational safety. Prepare purchase orders for procurement of transmission line materials and construction specifications. Evaluate and analyze existing transmission and distribution line systems to determine if applicable codes are met. Monitor team progress and activities to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget and exceed customer expectations, and is able to perform transmission line engineering work independently and on multiple projects at once and has the ability to balance innovation and standardization of work processes.

Duties included plan & profile drafting, preparing easement documents, highway and railroad permits, survey data entry, digitizing existing ground profiles, sag and tension charts, assembling construction spec books and bill of materials, survey coordination, and document management. Also, developed the transmission line drafting standards.
