I have spent the past 12 years in the military as a vehicle mechanic, the first 7 years mainly working with heavy and armoured vehicles, the past 5 years working with all types of civillian vehicles. It is a great job with many rewards however i am now looking for other opportunities. During this line of work i have spent time in the UK, France and Germany maintaining and repairing various pieces of equiptment ranging from generators to things like the chally 2 main battle tank. I have also been on various specialist courses.Some of the responsabilities i have had to take on while in this line of work include-Fault finding and various mechanical diagnosis-Working to specific targets and deadlines-Sorting out job cards, and keeping data tracked on computers-Working in tough conditions to strict deadlines-Supervising and mentoring junior collegues and people with less experiance and skill sets within the job role-Conducting inspections and repairs to a strict maintenence schedule-Ski instructor within the military, so this means taking, leading and teaching people how to ski and about mountain safetyDue to this i have experiance on a wide array of platforms and the ability to adapt and learn very quickly, i have also gained licenses with A,B,C, C+E categorys.I have gained my class 1 status within the military and have performed various inspections on various vehicles as well as all the paperwork that goes along with it.Also earning my MOT qualification. I have experiance with tig welding, body work and painting, engine building and a bit of ecu tuning.Previous to this i have worked in 2 vehicle repair garages and also in morrisons as a customer service assistant for 3 years while i was studying at college.I also dibble and dabble with custom fabrication.I participate in various motorsports and have various mechanical projects i work on personally.
