To contribute to the Council's risk management strategy through giving advice to Council Officers at all levels, suggesting improvements to reduce risk, attending Departmental risk management meetings and interpreting statistics. To provide advice to all levels of the Council in insurance matters.Skills Needed: An understanding of the legal principles and case law relating to insurance claims, good communication and negotiation skills, familiarity with insurance policies, an understanding of basic health & safety and general risk management principles.
