• Provides subject matter expertise and input as part of the ACM Cross Functional Team in the development, testing, fielding, and life cycle management of the Next Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System. Provide knowledge and experience of currently fielded Fire Support tactical data systems and capabilities, with special emphasis on the AFATDS. Maintain additional experience with Joint Automated Deep Operation Coordination System, Centaur, and/or Computer Meteorological – Profiler systems.• Understands the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development Systems process and how it contributes to development, review and staffing of FA related doctrine, documents, and publications. Capture/document user required capabilities and gaps for Capabilities Needs Assessments, Initial Capability Production Documents, and Capability Development Documents. • Extremely experienced in conducting meetings, leading discussion groups, briefing senior audiences, effectively communicating conceptual ideas in writing, and orally articulating thoughts to support the development of Army and Fires concepts, doctrine and tactics, techniques, and procedures. Shall review, analyze, and evaluate systems/capabilities, regarding program compliance with current requirements, acquisition regulations and policies; provide subject matter expertise to systems related integrated product team venues, design reviews, and test events.• Maintains a detailed understanding of the overarching connectivity between Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Allied/Coalition Command and Control systems, targeting procedures, and air space clearance requirements and procedures. Prepares reports/significant activity reports and EXSUMs of key events to ACM Fires Cells that include the status of ongoing system production lines, system fielding’s, testing, system modifications/improvements, input from institutional and operational units, critical maintenance issues, and key future activities.

Senior Intelligence Collective Trainer who provides Intelligence warfighting functions and Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support for the training of Field Artillery (FA) and Air Defense Artillery (ADA) Battalion and Brigade staff personnel. • Providing all source intelligence support for Mission Command Staff Collective Training events, Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) training, and exercise support. • Developing the Intelligence (Annex B) and Information Collection (Annex L) portion of OPORDERs and building AMC System databases that support training for Bde and Bn level Mission Command exercises. • Building OPFOR, story boards, and scenarios for exercise support. • Serving as G2/S2 for the Higher Control Cell (HICON) for various staff training exercises and events. • Developing Intel and ISR related reports to support exercises to simulate or stimulate training exercises. • Providing CPoF, DSGS-A, WIMs products,TOC support to unit S2 personnel, and serving as Division/Brigade Operations Staff member in the HICON. • Training Assistant Instructors (AIs) • Maintaining and updating Programs of Instruction (POIs) while coordinating RTOC, work cell and/or classroom setup as needed. • Providing input to the collective training and technical teams for collective exercises and training events. Subject matter expert for the Army Capability Manager (ACM) Fires Cells-Targeting. Provides input in support of the development, testing, fielding, and life cycle management of the Fire Support Vehicles (FSV), tracked and wheeled, associated with Mounted Precision Fires. An experienced artilleryman with a C2, Fire Support, and combat developer background to work with materiel developers, operational units, other Army Capability Mangers, Test Officers, Research, Development and Engineering Centers (RDECs) and HQ DA Staff to ensure Mounted Precision Fires Systems meet user requirements and provide needed capabilities across the force.Provide subject matter expertise in the development of current and future Mounted Fire Support platform requirements or other Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leader Development, Personnel, Facilities (DOTMLPF) solutions including the integration of future capabilities on mounted fire support platforms as required. Develop and update new mounted fire support platforms tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and ensure that information is prepared for inclusion in relevant Field Artillery manuals and doctrine, also review, analyze, and evaluate Mounted Fire Support platform related integrated product team venues, design reviews, and test events, and develop briefings and communications.

Serves as an Field Service Representatives (FSR) to support fielding efforts for a software suite of the Precision Fires Manager. This software suite utilizes real-time targeting data from organic sensor systems to enable Soldiers to rapidly develop precision target data for use precision weapon systems at the FOB/COP level in Afghanistan. Responsible for the Installation, operation, and troubleshooting of the software suite systems and system related hardware. Provides technical support for Soldiers and units in a tactical environment, as well as assisting with training when needed. Experienced in the deployment or configuration of precision weapon systems. Proficient in manual and automated tactical targeting familiarity using AFATDS, Ballistic Computers, Tactical Imagery programs or other fire support equipment. Experienced with military maps and coordinate methodology. Basic understanding of Military Training procedures, computer hardware systems, and peripheral devices. Working knowledge of Internet Protocol (IP) addressing, network topologies, and troubleshooting procedures. Ability to troubleshoot and repair cables and cable connectors. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment while working independently and efficiently with deadlines.

Support customer in the evaluation, analysis, and recommendation of new, pre-planned product improvements and technology insertions by developing and performing extensive testing, analysis, and evaluation of supported products. Provided analysis, traceability, technical review, and evaluation of product improvements, system specifications, and software requirements throughout implementation and testing phases.

Evaluate system requirements, software design, coding, and developmental testing of the AFATDS, FOS, CENTAUR, JADOCS, RHTU and various other systems. Work with technical personnel to providing IV&V for life cycle software engineering for the various Fires C2 systems. Understand the technical requirements for Fires C2 software support and be able to perform technical tasks (run the system) to support test section work plans, schedules, and controls. Perform software evaluation tests and documentation practices and procedures to support both fielded Fires C2 systems software and new software development.

Supervised the professional development and daily work load of an organization consisting of 110 Soldiers and their families. Provide coordination and employment of the battalion’s primary and special staff, as well as tactical and technical guidance to subordinates and junior officers. Senior trainer in the battery who coordinates, supervises, and evaluates all training and Army programs within the unit that enhanced Soldiers combat readiness. Principal advisor to the Battery Commander on matters affecting the unit and its mission. Establish and implement training, safety habits, health and welfare of all Soldiers and their families along with good order and discipline within the battery which resulted in the Army Safety Excellence Streamer eligibility. Accountable for and maintained18 million dollars of organizational property without loss along with the coordination of all supply actions.

Principle advisor to the Battalion Commander, Battalion Operations Officer (S3), and Command Sergeant Major regarding all aspects of operations. Advised and mentored Commanders and their staffs on capabilities and limitations of their weapons systems. Planned, coordinated, supervised, and evaluated all organizational events including course planning and resourcing while applying risk management for both garrison and combat operations. Reviewed staff analysis of documents before submitting to subordinate or higher units providing accurate information flow.

Trained Developed and reviewed a program of instruction while overseeing the engineer development of a Mounted Combat Patrol (MCP) live fire range to support base operations consisting of over 900 new buildings. This was accomplished in less than 18 months (6 months ahead of schedule) with no safety issues. Developed course material to provide MCP instruction to cadre to ensure Soldiers proficiency. Instructed and mentored up to 280 Combat Advisors per class on doctrine, tactics, and techniques. Attended a four week Small Arms Master Gunners Course to instruct and mentor up to 280 Combat Advisors per class on their individual and crew served weapons for doctrine, tactics and techniques. Supervised and trained Company to restructure and assume responsibility for the MCP classroom, Reconfigurable Tactical Trainer (RVTT), and Virtual Battle Space Trainer (VBS2) training events with less than three weeks’ notice to teach deploying units. Analyzed and created a system to qualify the combat systems during the Live Fire Certification and Qualification. Managed a movement of over 600 vehicle convoy’s throughout the Fort Polk, Louisiana Area of Operations resulting in safe transportation and timely arrival at specified destinations.

Trained and mentored the 1St Region Iraqi Military Intelligence NCOs and Officers on data collection and analysis for the development of military intelligence during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Monitored and assessed the 1ST Region Iraqi Brigade’s detention center and ensured compliance to NATO and Geneva Convention standards. Trained, operated, and maintained the Biometrics Automated Toolset System (BATS) to identify, archive, and detain enemy insurgents during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Managed a team of 10 Soldiers, three Iraqi local national interpreters. One DOD contractor, and one Army contractor during deployment. Responsible for assisting the Team OIC, with training, planning and execution of combat operations. Responsible for establishing and maintaining the Forward Operating Base’s Defense Plan. Conducted liaison operations with other Coalition Forces and Korean Forces units responsible for all base support operations. Instructed and developed course Program of Instructions (POI) on intelligence gathering and operational abilities to officers, noncommissioned officers, and enlisted Soldiers of Iraqi Army. Maintained accountability of classified and sensitive equipment during deployment without any breach.

Served as a Senior Fire Direction Observer Controller/Trainer (OC/T) for a Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS/HIMARS) Training Support Battalion. Provided training support, mentorship, and training assessment of 18 brigade, battalion, and battery Fire Direction Centers (FDC) of the Oklahoma and Arkansas National Guard. Constructed and organized a new Observer Controller training course that was adopted by BDE as the new standard. Utilized different methods of training that created flexibility which enabled subordinates to learn from many diverse sources. Assisted with the development of test strategies to evaluate and validate MLRS application software to ensure current POI/Lesson Plans was accurate and validated. Coached, mentored, and taught many units on IED-D skills and task prior to their deployments to theatre using current doctrine, techniques, and procedures to ensure units were combat ready. Served as an Action NCOIC during Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma while earning an associate’s degree thru the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Planned, organized work schedules and assigned duties to fire direction soldiers. Planned, organized, and instructed the battalions 13P’s on new AFATDS Software update ensuring a successful DSST transformation. Administered all written safety tests while assisting with individual and crew training. Evaluated and certified all sections and platoons prior to conducting the Live Fire Certification. Developed a written certification test for Commanders, Platoon Leaders, Platoon Sergeants, and crews on section operations.

Managed six instructors in the Advanced Individual Training (AIT) for the Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) Fire Direction System, which trained thousands of new Soldiers. Developed the class curriculum and maintenance schedule, classroom and simulation based instruction, and the preparation and operation of modeling and simulation training devices to provide the most current technical knowledge to the fighting force. Instructed Pre-Command Course to senior leaders and VIP dignitaries on MLRS operations and field artillery tactics, which gave a greater understanding to commanders and dignitaries that make decisions about national defense. Attended routine working groups with system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design. Instructed and developed course Program of Instructions (POI), and revised all doctrinal updates, course lesson plans, and examinations for the Fire Direction System and the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to be used in the training facility. Identifying and solving system analysis problems with the operational software for AFATDS and MLRS to validate lesson plans to ensure the product continued to support the POI.

Conducted weekly training for Fire Direction Centers, which included launcher crews on Start-up and Shutdown procedures, MET Data entry and verification, Manual Fire Mission Input and processing, Plotting, and Occupation of a Position Area. Trained in-experienced Fire Direction Centers to place among the best during battalion external evaluations and live fire exercises. Primary trainer during both Battery and Battalion Drivers Training events.
