Commissioning
CurrentI commissioned a first of its kind slitting/sheeting machine. During this role I was required to learn every part of the machine from problem the day to day operator can face and guarantee the machine is fitted to the standards within the contract. I worked closely with the machine manufacturers and broke the machine down into stages to aid problem solving and achieving our required running speeds at the tolerances the customers set us to achieve. I was required to get the asset and the area to a production standard for live running, with this I written Risk assessments for the machine and area, SOP's for day to day running, training packs & troubleshooting form regarding major faults operators can face on a day to day and how the fault should be repaired. I also assisted with the installation and set of a first of its kind single sheet inspection machine. I also performed a lot of callouts regardless of the time to assist any faults appeared on the new assets and got the assets back up to standard whilst training the operators on how to solve the fault and build up their knowledge regarding the fault. If the fault wasn't a quick solve I would bring the team round and we will brainstorm the situation to do a stop and solve using a Ishikawa diagram (fishbone technique)
