After death of the founder of GLM, Prof. Dr. Gerhard Schiffner, Eberhard Kiesel and Michael Berthold acquired his shares of GLM.Eberhard Kiesel became 51% shareholder andMichael Berthold became 49% shareholder.Eberhard Kiesel and Michael Berthold are each autorized to represent GLM Lasermesstechnik GmbH.3-Dim Observer was main software development topic in these years. 3-Dim PT (Plug-In collection for Rhino3D) became a development topic later.Wind energy (onshore and offshore) production industry became new field of activity for GLM.International activities became more successful. GLM has among others following international partners:- Sigma Enterprises in UAE, thanks to the Sigma team- Meetconsult in NL, thanks to Eelco Visser- Newcast East in Russia, thanks to NC-E team.and thanks to Eberhard Kiesel, who established this.

Eberhard Kiesel introduced GLM to railway industry. Later, the shipbuilding industry also became important for GLM. Eberhard Kiesel successfully started international marketing. Meanwhile Michael Berthold acted in the background, taking care that clients are satisfied and software development was on the right way.

GLM Lasermesstechnik was founded in 1990 by Prof. Dr. Gerhard Schiffner. GLM was a spin-off of Ruhr-University. In the first years is was named Inno-Tec GmbH & Co.
