Qualifying SLM machines and parts using standard metallographic analysis (sectioning, mounting, polishing, etching, and microscopy). Analyzing various welds, coatings, and surfaces. Using data found in technical reports to pass or fail parts for RL10 and RS-25 engine production. Analyzing contamination and non-conformances through metallographic analysis and SEM/EDS. Generating technical reports using internal, industry, and military specifications detailing if specific parts or processes are up to standard.

• Characterized and analyzed 3D printed TPU samples using polymer characterization techniques including TGA, DMA, DSC, FTIR, tensile and hardness testing• Used MATLAB and Origin to generate graphs of above data• Practiced with 3D modeling using Autodesk Fusion360• Printed and characterized PVDF filament and pellets to submit for publication• Successfully printed with the re:3D Gigabot pellet and filament 3D printers• Honorable Mention Best Poster Award, 17th Annual Student Colloquium, International Elastomer Conference
