As a Consultant Advanced Clinical Practitioner and Head of Clinical Performance and Technical Research and Development, I am passionate about integrating exceptional patient care with innovative digital solutions to drive improvements in healthcare delivery. My healthcare career spans over 17 years. Starting as a learning disability support worker, and later moving into my foundation role as a paramedic with North West Ambulance Service (2008–2016), which provided me with invaluable experience in prehospital emergency care.Progressing to Advanced Clinical Practice, I dual trained in accident and emergency, and acute medicine. later enhancing my career in ambulatory medicine and leading teams to optimising clinical pathways to support patients in avoiding unnecessary hospital admissions and A&E attendances. while ensuring safe, evidence-based care across urgent and emergency care settings. My clinical leadership later extended into urgent care, whereby leading the service while teaching and developing urgent care competency frameworks, to form a well rounded team to form a new generation of urgent care ACPs. I am the co-founder and clinical director for Novus Health Technologies Ltd, a health technology and innovation company. Through Novus, I collaborate with industry partners and universities to design and implement cutting-edge medical devices and digital tools, such as patient monitoring systems and AI-assisted diagnostics. This entrepreneurial work supports my mission to drive innovation in healthcare while addressing inequalities and improving access to care.I was recently awarded the Greater Manchester Training Hub’s ACP of the Year 2024. it was an honour to receive this recognition and I could not have achieved this without an excellent team of enthusiastic and marvellous trainee and qualified ACPs. Whether through frontline clinical work, teaching, or strategic leadership, I am committed to enhancing lives through sustainable, patient-centred care underpinned by innovation and technological advancement.
