As a Design Intern, I applied industry-standard skills across multiple areas of product development, including digital 3D CAD design, advanced sketching, and prototyping. During my semester-long co-op with Ingersoll Rand, I had the opportunity to design a new concept of their iconic 2235i 1/2-inch pneumatic impact wrench. Under the guidance of the Senior Designer, I applied a wide range of professional design skills, including competitive analysis, ergonomic studies, design problem-solving, 3D CAD modeling, user-design research, prototyping, and high-quality KeyShot renderings. I also 3D printed a full-scale model, which I successfully presented to company leadership at their New Jersey design headquarters. My final design, featured in my portfolio, reflects the innovative solutions with brand identity and thorough research that went into this project.

During my co-op with Movado Group, I was responsible for designing a 40mm chronograph watch from the ground up, including the case, strap/bracelet, watch face, hands, pushers, crown, and more. This project allowed me to refine key design skills such as competitive research, problem-solving, brand alignment, 3D CAD modeling, and high-quality rendering. With mentorship from various members of the Movado Group, I successfully brought the design to life and presented it to Movado’s design team. While the project was completed under a non-disclosure brand agreement (NDA), the skills gained directly translated into my personal IWC chronograph watch project, showcased in my portfolio.
