My job at Kirkland Lake Gold was to work with the mill maintenance instrumentation techs and electricians performing preventative maintenance and projects in a safe and efficient manner. Work included troubleshooting issues with instruments, and electrical motors and other industrial components using a variety of test equipment including multimeters and specialized diagnostic tools. I also worked shortly with the IT group at the mine site, working with fiber optics and networking equipment.
