• Manage the maintenance and development of all PLC and Automation control systems throughout the site, including Siemens S7-300, Modicon Premium, Mitsubishi FX and QX and Beckhoff TwinCat.• Implement and maintain equipment safety and environmental standards in line with statutory requirements and codes of practice• Provide expert understanding, fault analysis and rectification of automation / process control systems• Skills Gap analysis and subsequent coaching, training and development of shift Electrical Technician's capabilities• Work closely with Maintenance, Production, Quality and Safety teams to ensure service delivery• Provide support to shift teams in reactive breakdown situations• Manage the maintenance of the site’s High Voltage & Low Voltage distribution• Site contact for the Central Engineering Safety Group with respect to electrical work on site• Investigation into Plant failures and development of countermeasures• Implement plant/process development opportunities that improve Quality, Cost, Delivery and Safety• Leader of energy reduction initiatives and projects, to reduce electrical kWh per manufactured unit by 25%• Project manage revenue projects and small capital projects and liaise with Central Engineering on larger projects where required• Commissioning of new equipment ensuring safety and group engineering standards are adhered to• Carry out PUWER assessments on both new and existing plant and equipment• Writing of One Point Lessons and Standard Operating Procedures
