This includes coordinating security measures to include analyzing, testing, evaluation, verification, accreditation, and review of information system installations.• Ensure information. ownership responsibilities are established for each information system (IS) to include accountability, access approvals, and special handling requirements.• Ensure the development, review, endorsement, and maintenance of IA certification and accreditation documentation, in accordance to current policies. A repository of documentation and all modifications are maintained with retention policies.• Ensure IA Officers (IAOs) are appointed in writing, to include their assigned duties and responsibilities identified in current policies. Ensured all IAOs are receive the necessary technical or management and IA training, education, and certifications required to carry out their respective duties.• Ensure compliance monitoring occurs, and review the results of such monitoring, notifying the DAA of significant findings.
Information Assurance Manager
Led personnel in providing and maintaining secure telecommunications using a complex array of equipment subsystems and all information systems to include local area networks, servers, and computers. Provided expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues.• Implemented risk management programs, patch management procedures, monitored compliance of security policies and procedures, developed and maintained system security accreditation documentation and supporting materials, validated system configurations to include new installations and/or modifications, developed and maintained activities information systems security and contingency plans
