As Director of Client Services and Technology I am responsible for directing and delivery of IT support services at all Tennessee Board of Regents shared services institutions and their respective staff in the areas of administrative software support, desktop support, training, communications, including development, administration, and maintenance. I am tasked with improving the end-user experience as it relates to IT service and support by serving as the senior level triage officer for all issues directed to TBR Central IT and shared services.

• Manages the microcomputer technicians in their daily duties• Responsible for imaging of all faculty, staff and lab computers• Provides technical assistance for all computers on Motlow Campuses• Maintains computer hardware and software• Orders replacement parts for computers• Installation of and setup of new or re-allocated computers including network wiring and internet connectivity• Implementation of new operating systems• Implementation of functional software, including ADA and testing software that has been requested and approved through the proper channels• Works closely with the director to formulate computer replacement plans• Manage the re-allocation of used computers and maintenance of the computer inventory• Installs and maintains printers on all Motlow Campuses• Works with printer toner vendor to order or refill cartridges• Answer Helpdesk calls• Support Banner, Email and D2L• Manages and maintains the print server at all Motlow Campuses• Works closely with the Network Security Manager and Director to manage Group Policy• Pull network connections for internet access• Works closely with the Network Security Manager and Director to manage Active Directory• Works closely with the Network Security Manager and Director to manage Network Shared Drives• Remotely Deploy programs which include, but are not limited to third party patching• Installation of security cameras including network wiring• Installation of BDM software and scanners• Installation of Touchnet software and terminals• Supports campus messaging system• Supports Cisco phones• Sets up in new student orientation to check all student accounts• Answer call center overflow• Office 365 Support• Mobile Device support

The Microcomputer Technician works under the supervision of the PC Support Manager and helps maintain all microcomputers for Motlow. The responsibilities include installing new microcomputers, installing software, troubleshooting hardware and software problems, and installation and termination of network wiring.• Maintenance and repair of all microcomputer hardware and software on the campuses.• Technical assistance for all microcomputer users on the Motlow Campuses.• Maintaining and ordering replacement parts for microcomputers and related hardware.• Installation and setup of all new or re-allocated microcomputers including network• wiring and internet connectivity. • Installation of any new operating systems or functional software that has been • requested and approved through the proper channels.• Other duties as assigned.
