Malachite Group purchases and manages retail shopping centers east of the Mississippi river, and as far north as upper Michigan, to as far south as Houston Texas. My role was to review commercial leases and respond to tenant issues. In addition, I supervised purchase transactions in coordination with outside company counsel, along with attendant loan applications and security agreements. Intricate leasehold agreements, sublets of same, environmental compliance coordination, and work with substantial and prominent law firms were required, in a very fast paced environment. It was a distinct privilege to work with Mr. Manoucher Malekan and his talented office, and his learned outside counsel, Jay Yackow Esq.
