Full stack development and support for the DOD IT certificate tracking infrastructure and recruiting information suite.Activities include:-Re-architecturing the applications to move from outdated frameworks (Oracle ADF, JSP scriplets, JSF) to more modern frameworks in a more maintainable separation of responsibilities (RESTFul backends returning JSON to an Angular frontend)-SSL connection debugging-Investigation of Production issues-Addition of new features-Reverse engineering of poorly documented features to understand / document present behaviors

Developed customer self service capabilities. -The goal was to free business analysts from trivial, repetitive work, while increasing velocity of response to customers. -Resulted in an 83% reduction in direct customer/business analysts interactions relative to 6 months prior to implementation. Customer workflows (averaged across all task types) were 26% faster.-Implementation was a single page application providing a rich interface (AJAX, JQuery, etc) against a Java backend. Granted customers visibility into the metadata of their interfaces (request volumes, SLAs, PKI certificates, etc) and the ability to initiate change requests via a workflow system.Oversaw a team of more junior developers providing:-Design recommendations and architecting-Code reviews-Technical assistance

Responsible for development of web apps and services providing external customer's access to military personnel records.Systems developed were highly performant (>3 million synchronous calls per day, >30 million records via batch JMS based solution). A custom XML based rules engine allowed for business analysts to manage customer lifecycle (auth/deauth, restriction of data that would be returned, etc) without any code release.

Responsible for enhancement, bug fixes, and incident response for a web services.
