Summary* Inventory, tracking and management of all computers and relative assets, including network, datacenter, and audio video assets, at both Dreamworks sites in Glendale..* Deployments, moves, and reclaims of artists and administrative workstations, desktops, and laptops.* Administrative tracking and updating of assets in Barscan database application.* Perform Windows /Linux builds for Hewlett Packard Workstations, Desktops, and Laptops to Dreamworks specifications and requirements. Primary Responsibilities:* As Asset Management, my primary responsibility is the management and accountability of computer assets on all company sites (currently 2).* When time allows and if needed, support is provided for build/deployment assistance and support to our division of Asset Management that’s responsible for those tasks. * Support and participation on weekly scheduled moves.* Manage and schedule support tickets using JIRA issue tracking application.

I am proud to say I worked with the most amazing team to support a 24/7 operation spanning two locations and took part in the migration of such projects as:* Migration of studio-wide ticket tracking system from SupportQ to Atlassian Jira* Operating system upgrade of render nodes and workstations, from Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 to RHEL6* Successful transition of job scheduling from Platform LSF to a Red Hat MRG solution based off of the Condor project* Transition of rendering nodes from dual-core AMD 1U rack servers to 12 core Intel Xeon bladesMy Day to Day responsibilities involved:* Maintaining render farm utilization to run at ideal maximum capacity* Detecting/troubleshooting stuck and errored jobs* Managing multi-thousand node render farm (hosts both onsite/offsite), job execution, resource prioritization, and host maintenance* Assisting artists and technical directors with rendering needs* Performing data archive, restore, and hard disk transfers in/out of studio* Monitoring storage volume usage* Monitor, assess, and escalate software and infrastructure issues during and after business hours* Establish and document department procedures in Confluence and wiki markup.
