Primary focus on Data/Video services in a FTTx network as well as corporate servers/network•Responsible for configuring and troubleshooting FTTx PON /ActiveE networks. This included Nokia and Calix for FTTx delivery and Nokia/Juniper/Cisco switches/routers. I was responsible for VLAN’s, routing interfaces, and LAG groups. I was also responsible for setting up/monitoring BGP to our upstream providers as well as BGP to some of our enterprise customers. •I am responsible for Tier 4 support for customer issues.•I monitor and respond to network monitor alarms using tools such as PRTG, various element managers, port mirrors, etc.•Install and maintain Fiber and CAT5e/6 in data center environment.•I am directly responsible for over 100 Windows 2008/2012 servers in a Hyper-V environment and over 100 VMWare servers with HP SAN storage. I have manage MS Exchange, MSSQL, Active Directory, and backup servers (Quest Rapid Recovery)•Configure and install Linux servers running DNS/DHCP/Web applications•Responsible for finding, evaluating, testing, and implementing new equipment and technologies to improve service to our customers. One example was implementing a new video monitoring system that could monitor our video streams in multiple locations for service issues which allowed us to proactively react to video issues, often before a customer would see any issue.•Directly responsible for daily operations and troubleshooting of Cisco DNCS, and Ericsson Mediaroom systems and all aspects of video ingestion and delivery including IP network.•I have experience with Motorola/Cisco satellite receivers, Cisco DCM, Harmonic encoders, Alcatel/Juniper switches for headend multicast traffic, and other headend equipment. Monitoring and reacting to alarms in the network.•Responsible for several large projects from budgeting to implementation. This included transitioning support from one vendor to multiple vendors for a major CATV system and upgrade of our Mediaroom system.

Work with activators to resolve issues at time of activation. • Hand chosen in 2007 by management to be one of initial employees of Network Operations Center due to proven record of dedication, initiative, and project management skills. • Responsible for monitoring multiple networks using provided software and coordinate response for repair. Work with network engineers to resolve more complex issues. • Installed and deployed multiple windows servers including Microsoft Exchange, SQL, backup servers, and Active Directory.
