Reinforcement and teaching of life skills to adults with disabilities within the home setting. Maintaining safety of my clients, who have varying disabilities and required needs.Complete freedom of direct planning in relation to life skills goals on a client to client basis. Self management of appropriate time sheets and case notes.

Initiate and provide direct applied behavior analysis instruction based upon the client’s predetermined goals and objectives.Provides training and consultation to the family regarding instructional goals. The prior is a means to extend instruction and assist clients in generalization of skills.Maintain program books for clients. Program book includes data collection and daily progress notes. Completion of quarterly progress notes. Collaboration with team members in developing and writing treatment plans and behavioral support plans.

Responsible for whatever task is scheduled for me for the day, including but not limited to cashier (including checking age appropriate identifications for certain product sales), Lottery, Deli, stocking, preparation of coffee and breads, etc…. (I also take it upon myself to diffuse conflicts with customers before they walk out of the store.)

I facilitated individual and group counseling sessions. Counseling groups were differentiated by both cognitive ability and topic. My other responsibilities included case notes, progress reports, and the formulation of goals and objectives for student IEPs.

On a daily basis I functioned as an assistant in the counseling department. This position involved individual and group counseling based upon students social, emotional, and academic needs. One strong topic for group was in relation to relaying policy to students from administration in an open forum. I sat on various meetings involving students who teachers were concerned with academically.

I was responsible for many different tasks at this site. On occasion I was asked to sell concessions and promote rewards cards. Other days would involve cleaning theaters and keeping them nice for guests. Other days could involve ripping tickets and enforcing policy for R rated movies.

This site involved working with students who were on academic probation. I conducted needs assessments and made proper referrals for students based on differentiated needs. I provided mentorship and solid advocacy for each student on my case load. I provided individual and group counseling sessions. The individual sessions included both academic and career counseling.

Responsible for approximately 24 different residents. Conflict resolution was key. Also included maintenance of a bulletin board with changing information. Nights on emergency call were also required, on these nights there would be rounds of the dormitory completed. (I worked with a population of 18-19 year olds fresh out of high school). Running and facilitating events on a budget was a skill that stands out.
