CurrentResponsible for generating and submitting all pharmacy revenue transfers to the fiscal department and for analyzing accuracy of pharmacy billing statements. Selected to be a data analyst for a hospital Lean project focusing in the surgical area. Contributed to over 4 million dollars in savings due to inventory reduction and identification of cost reduction opportunities. Selected to lead a special Lean project in the pharmacy dedicated to working with the hospital administrative council to assist them in understanding Lean principles. Frequently presented to hospital administration and leadership to teach Lean concepts and how they are applicable to a hospital environment. Designed and developed a specialized labels database using Lean concepts to generate a labeling system for a visual inventory tracking throughout the hospital. Responsible for guiding the pharmacy technology staff through new projects. Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated metrics data collection systems utilized by multiple departments in order to provide real time data allowing these departments to respond to changing workload demands. Responsible for data collection within the pharmacy for quality indicators focusing on reduction of medication errors. Presently serving on the pharmacy drug abuse and substance abuse task force. Responsible for working closely with the director of pharmacy and the hospital fiscal department to develop yearly budgetary estimates. Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining HL7 interfaces to and from the pharmacy systems integrated with different vendors. Consulted and assisted in the design and implementation of an ePharmacy remote order entry system that now covers hospitals in 6 states. Designed, installed, and trained multiple rural facilities in the implementation of automated dispensing machine systems. Responsible for the leadership and professional development of the pharmacy technology staff.
