Team Prep is the premier New England prep school team soccer and sports camp. Held during the last weeks of August in at Camp Cedar in Casco, Maine the camp provides boys and girls soccer teams the opportunity to prepare for the highly competetive fall season. The Team Prep Soccer Camp originated over 25 years ago when several New England Prep School teachers and soccer coaches decided to pull their teams together in late August for pre-season training. The camp model not only helps create winning soccer teams, but also help them foster winning student citizens. This builds team camaraderie, communication, sense of community and develops leadership skills for team captain.The days are long, yet diverse. Every day includes various levels of skills building, team tactics, speed and agility training, small games and full-length scrimmages. Every evening includes fun team activities where all players are involved. The training sessions are conducted by top quality and experienced clinicians, coaches, athletic trainers, sports consultants and team building experts.The beautiful game of soccer has always helped to develop future leaders. Team Prep Soccer Camp not only helps players and teams gear up to have winning seasons today; the camp also creates winning citizens for tomorrow.

As Manager of Safeguarding I assist the Executive Director to oversee the day-to-day activities of Massachusetts Youth Soccer, ensuring that the organization’s Risk Management and Registration Departments are managed properly and performing efficiently and effectively. I lead the design, development and implementation of Mass Youth Soccer safeguarding programs and all related policies and procedures.

As Executive Director of Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association, the nation’s largest state youth soccer association, Mike manages the association's state office, all employees and contract labor individuals. In addition he is responsible for the overall management of Mass Youth Soccer’s $20 million 16-field facility located in Lancaster, MA. Mike administers directives from the Mass Youth Soccer Board of Directors in addition to overseeing the association’s business plan as produced by the board. He and his incredible staff administer player and coach training programs, tournaments and other events. Mike serves as the point of contact at Regional and National events and meetings.Mike is very much committed to the mission of US Youth Soccer, which is to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of America's youth through the sport of soccer at all levels of age and competition. Our job is also to make it fun, and instill in young players a lifelong passion for the sport.Mike feels that when one has the chance to meld their life-long passion of an avocation with their learned skills and experiences of a vocation they should not let the opportunity pass them by. When the Mass Youth Soccer Board of Directors offered him this leadership role there was no other answer than yes. When one has a job that is fun, full of passion and meaningful beyond description there is never enough hours in the day.
