Born and raised in North Dakota, Michael A. Bosh graduated from Jamestown College in 1992, where he was a Wilson Scholar and College Fellow. He received his law degree from Washington & Lee University School of Law in 1995. While at W&L, Michael was a contributor and editor for the Washington & Lee Law Review.After being admitted to the North Dakota bar in 1995, Michael had the honor of clerking for Justice Herbert L. Meschke of the North Dakota Supreme Court. He then spent six years in private practice with the Pringle & Herigstad law firm in Minot, with a focus on real estate, business, cooperatives, estate planning, and probate matters.Michael became in-house counsel for Investors Real Estate Trust, a publicly traded real estate company, in 2002, and was a member of IRET’s senior management team for nearly 15 years. As General Counsel Michael advised IRET’s board, committees, and senior management team, and supervised IRET’s legal and risk management departments. While at IRET, Michael coordinated over $1.2 billion in real estate acquisitions, over $1.1 billion in real estate dispositions, and over $1.9 billion of new loans; he also completed over 1,000 commercial lease transactions.Michael joined McGee, Hankla & Backes, P.C. in 2017, where his law practices focused in the areas of commercial transactions, commercial leasing, real estate transactions, business law, and estate planning.In 2019, Michael joined First Internal Bank & Trust as Corporate Counsel.
