Site Lead for the European and CENTCOM AO, focusing on providing comprehensive support for PM TR Radios’ products and associated government-furnished hardware and software.

Serves as the designated Logistics Support Manager, Action Officer, or Site Managersupporting new equipment fielding, system upgrades or modifications, and training.Conducts site surveys, plans and schedules missions on behalf of Program Managementoffices. Monitors Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) fielding operations and associated training activities. Advises customers on maintaining compliance with international laws, Status of Forces Agreements and Theater Expert Status Accreditation status for their fielding and training team members.Leads efforts to support fielding, technical refresh, upgrade, training, assessments, andother program events during the various life cycle phases of C5ISR systems for MajorCommands within a designated region. Develops requirements for funds, facilities, supportequipment, and transportation. Plans for storage, distribution, maintenance, utilization ofequipment, and training of personnel. Provides recommended alternatives to accomplishfielding and training milestones developed by Program Managers.

Serving as the PM Tactical Radio representative for Capability Set Fielding’s, coordinating and maintaining equipment storage. Serving as the PM’s on-ground rep, monitoring New Equipment Training (NET), working with unit supply and property book personnel to successfully execute the handoff of equipment from the PM to the gaining units. Responsible for maintaining and tracking the fielding and training status for various units during the Capability Set Fielding.

Duties included but were not limited to guiding, aiding and/or managing others in the analysis, planning and detailed design of all logistics support which may include one or more of the following: material transportation, personnel transportation, wholesale operations, retail operations, sustainment of systems throughout life cycle, development of documentation and test plans, ergonomic/human performance analysis, feasibility analysis, logistics planning, requirements determination, policy standards/procedures development, long term reliability and maintainability, training development and execution, outsourcing, issuance and fielding of equipment, accountability, and documentation analysis. Establishing priorities and ensures that work products conforms to company and customer standards. Planning, conducting, or managing assignments, reviewing progresses and evaluating results, working hand and hand with other technical and administrative disciplines, to accurately assigns tasks and managing personnel.

Duties included but were not limited to, serving as the PM Tactical Radio fielding representative for various Commercial off the shelf (COTS) Tactical Radios such as HF, Multiband, VHF/UHF, and fielding and training for the various Handheld radio systems; coordinated with Army units (Active, National Guard and reserve) S3, S4, S6 up to commander, for the time phasing of all fielding actions. Duties also included the full range responsibility for development and presentation of New Material Introductory Briefing (NMIB), issuance of radios and associated accessories, development of distribution planning for vehicular radio installations, developing and coordinating all requirements and scheduling of radio training classes.

Electronics Technician for, the High Capacity Line of Sight (HCLOS) radio,which utilizes advanced radio technologies to provide improved wideband radio communication for tactical applications.The HCLOS radio, provides multimedia line of sight transmission capabilities over a wideband backbone at trunking rates of up to 8192 Kbps. The HCLOS radio is capable of support commercial communication equipment such as Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) switches, allowing user to transfer information, be it voice, data or video, between terminals and systems having different bandwidth requirements. Duties included but were not limited to serving as the PM Command Posts (CP) fielding representative for High Capacity Line of Sight Radio Terminal (HCLOS), Battlefield Video Teleconference (BVTC), and/or Tropo systems; responsible for all phases of the fielding process, to include; de-processing, inventory and hand-off of equipment. Serving as execution lead, coordinating office space, equipment storage space and movement; submission of weekly reports to keep the PM CP fielding manager informed of issues and status of fielding efforts as required.

Electronics Technician for RIPRNet, a United States military network that allows system designers and deployment personnel to connect radios in remote locations to local dispatch consoles exchanging radio voice data over an IP routed network. By combining the best in commercial radio technology with the versatility and flexibility of IP networks, the RIPRnet allows commanders to extent the range of their FM LOS communication systems, by connecting their radios to a computer console, which converts the analog signal into an Internet protocol (IP) data stream. Through this method, ultrahigh frequency (UHF), very high frequency (VHF) and high frequency networks can be joined into a common network for command and control (C2). Duties also included but were not limited to include integration, troubleshooting and repair of radio systems and related antenna and antenna components as part of an overall operational RIPRNet system, being responsible for troubleshooting and repair of all connectivity cabling and resolving antenna, radio and network challenges as part of an integrated team in support of operational and customer requirements. Responsible for conducting quarterly Preventive Maintenance Inspection, (PMI) on several sites throughout the CENTCOM area of responsibility. Climbed towers and conducted maintenance of antennas and antenna related cabling at heights of up to 500ft. Served as an advisor to team and customers on the proper placement, installation, and utilization of antenna equipment required to establish and maintain network services.

Instructor/Trainer for a GPS-enabled system that provides military commanders and forces with location information about friendly and hostile military forces.Blue Force Tracking systems consist of a computer, used to display location information, a satellite terminal and satellite antenna, used to transmit location and other military data, a Global Positioning System receiver (to determine its own position), command-and-control software (to send and receive orders, and many other battlefield support functions), and mapping software, usually in the form of a geographic information system (GIS), that plots the BFT device on a map. The system displays the location of the host vehicle on the computer's terrain-map display, along with the locations of other platforms (friendly in blue, and enemy in red) in their respective locations. BFT can also be used to send and receive text and imagery messages, and Blue Force Tracking has a mechanism for reporting the locations of enemy forces and other battlefield conditions (for example, the location of mine fields, battlefield obstacles, bridges that are damaged, etc.).Duties included but were not limited to instructing, service members from various Active Army, Army Reserve, Army National Guard, Civilian Instructors, Installers, and Field Support Representatives, all aspects of the Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) System. Required travel to various locations, sometimes remote and austere, in order to train soldiers. Classes taught include the Operator New Equipment Training, Unit Level Maintenance, and Digital Master Trainers Course. Classes were taught for both Terrestrial and Blue Force Tracking equipped units. Responsible for the inventory and shipment of all equipment and training materials to and from training locations; as well as ensuring the operational and maintenance status of all equipment prior to shipment and while at training sites.

31U/25U Signal Support Systems Specialist is a military occupational specialty (MOS) in the United States Army Signal Corps. The signal support systems specialist supervises, installs, deploys, maintains, troubleshoots, trains, and assists the General Purpose User with Programs of Record and Commercial off the Shelf communications equipment, as appropriate, within the Tactical Operations Center (TOC), Command Post (CP), and vehicle platforms. This includes information systems support and Army Battle Command System (BCS) (e.g., Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Maneuver Control System (MCS), Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below(FBCB2), Blue Force Tracking (BFT), etc.); Communications and Electronic (C&E) equipment (e.g., Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS), Frequency Modulation (FM) systems, High Frequency (HF) systems, Tactical Satellite (TACSAT) systems, hand held and manpack systems, etc.); Communications Security (COMSEC) devices (e.g., Automated Net Control Device (ANCD), Simple Key Loader (SKL), etc.); and telephone wire, Local Area Networks (LAN) and Routers. Performs field level unit maintenance on authorized C&E systems and COMSEC devices and prepares maintenance and supply requests for field level signal support. Disseminates and enforces signal policies and integrates signal systems and networks with adjacent units. Installs, Operates, and Maintains Radio Retransmission (RETRANS) operations and performs Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services on assigned vehicles and power generators.[1]
