I produce the 9 o'clock newscast at Heartland News in Cape Girardeau, MO. I write news stories, edit audio and video (both professionally and personally) to tell interesting and relevant stories.

My responsibilities at Withers Broadcasting include researching and writing local news, recording it and editing the sound bytes so that they sound professional when on the air. I handle with weather updates and news for six FM channels, two of which I wrote for only.

My duties included updating weather and making sure that the stations were on time and played the correct commercials when applicable. I also answered phones and learned to interact with people of differing personalities / backgrounds.
