Communications Field Engineer
CurrentSupervises and reports on contractors' daily progress installing communications equipment which includes CCTV, PA and computer interfaces on London Underground stations. This thorough supervision ensures project management staff are informed of progress, helps with managing budgets and can see in advance of any previously unforeseen issuesEnsures health, safety, environmental and welfare factors are in place for all contractors and team members. This has been shown by worksites obtaining locally recognised 'beacon status' which is a site looked upon by Tube Lines as setting the standard.Compiles reports such as constructability reports at the start of the project which should highlight any build issues and also any ambiguities. This is followed and updated throughout the project acting as a main reference for all issues. Also keeps up to date with red-line drawings and documents any changes on the Tube Lines computerised system.Has worked under the role of client and principle contractor, and acts as a point of contact for contractors. To do this, excellent communication skills have been shown, as previous projects have all finished on time.
