Researcher in the Configuration Aerodynamics Branch at the NASA Langley Research Center. Primary research focused on enhancing the state of the art for predicting inlet and nozzle flows, sonic boom loudness, and wind tunnel flows. Additional duties include supporting the advancement of aircraft technologies through analysis and wind tunnel testing, website development, and performing code development for in-house computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software.

Most recent research was focused on the application of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for predicting vehicle stability characteristics for a highly-flexible, maneuvering aircraft. This was performed using the FUN3D flow solver developed at the NASA Langley Research Center to simulation aircraft deformation using forced-motion and modal analysis. Prior to this, I spent three years performing research for the NASA Environmentally Responsible Aviation (ERA) project. Responsibilities included performing analyses using the Environmental Design Space program, developing neural networks to be used in a rapid trade-off environment, and the development of open rotor engine noise models in NASA's Counter-Rotating Prop Fan Noise (CRPFAN) program.

Responsibilities included performing CFD analyses of an oscillating wing for benchmarking flutter prediction capabilities. Additionally, participated in the analysis and design of a wind-tunnel test configuration.

Contributed to Team Xc through the development and advancement of subsystem analysis tools for the design of SmallSats. These subsystem analysis tools are employed in a collaborative engineering environment for the rapid development of SmallSat design proposals. Additionally, had the opportunity to participate in the design of hardware-driven design-space exploration tool to be used for SmallSat design studies. The goal of this tool was to provide a platform for the designer to explore all compatible hardware combinations that could potentially meet the given mission requirements.
