I am a cultural resources consultant with three decades of experience conducting archaeological and historical projects and research. The geography of my work includes the Southeast, Great Plains, Intermountain West, Southwest, and Northwest Mexico. I have over 20 years of direct experience in Southwest cultural resources management in Arizona and New Mexico. I have directed or managed dozens of survey, data recovery, and preservation projects meeting municipal, state, tribal, and federal regulatory compliance and have authored or edited well over 100 technical publications. With a deep background in cartography, land survey, and civil engineering, I have connected these methods, techniques, and data with cultural resources management. Over my career, I have conducted or directed over 600 mapping projects and am an expert in cartography, field technology, geographic information systems (GIS), and databases. I was an early adopter of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technologies and structure from motion modeling for remote sensing, mapping, and visualization. Combining cultural resources management with the engineering trades, I am uniquely suited to connect industry and infrastructure to environmental investigation and permitting.
