Determination of operating strategies, emergency control schemes and operating constraints to be employed on TransGrid’s network to cover unusual operating conditions such as reduced transmission capacity or to cover non-credible contingencies. Assessment of network adequacy in the medium term, identification of shortcomings and initiation of corrective action. Played a key role in developing the State Electricity Market (SEM) software for TransGrid. Tasks included planning, testing, developing and implementing solutions and managing user inquiries. Formally training users in the use of SEM. Interpretation and implementation of state electricity code.
