DAY SERVICES CREATED BY PARENTS AND INTERVENERS! Once individuals age out of their school, there are often few options-especially for individuals who have severe multiple disabilities. Our day services are designed for these individuals. We are building our program based on the needs of each individual and will meet with caregivers and former educators to continue the learning experience that parents and educators have been pursuing for the previous 18+ years! By involving individuals in daily activities, we keep their minds active and purpose strong. Unlike other centers, we welcome individuals who are in diapers, wheelchair bound, non-verbal, and completely dependent on others for their care. We even welcome G-Tubes! LOCATION Tucked a safe distance off of 12600 South and 2400 West in Riverton, Utah, this former Pilates Spa has an end unit with a large parking lot and a 180 degree view of the Wasatch Mountains. Our beautiful, bright, and open facility is over 3000 sq. Our OT/PT room has a padded floor for comfort and movement Our 'Crafteria' is designed for all feeding and craft/fine motor skill development, with a large beam to hang swings and receive that crucial sensory input. Sun shines through the large windows, except in our dimly lit Sensory Room, which has a variety of textures and buttons on the walls, as well as large bean bags for that necessary 'Chill-Time'.The Recreation Room has comfortable couches, light up toys, books, games and TV's connected to IV poles that can be rolled around and placed at comfortable viewing levels of our clients. Our two bathrooms easily accommodate wheelchairs. A full-size changing table is located in one of the restrooms.Outside, a beautiful view of the Wasatch Mountains and a large grassy area to the east of us provides an opportunity to spend plenty of time in the sun and enjoy physical activity.
