Finish Carpentry Project Lead
-Began work at company as an unskilled day-laborer with no prior experience in construction assisting carpenters by moving materials, setting up jobsites, and keeping jobsites cleaned.-Over the course of a year, learned skills from journeymen, acquired tools, and earned a pay-raise and promotion to carpenter.-Worked in both residential and limited commercial projects as a finish, turn-key carpenter.-Installed, built, repaired, or oversaw wide range of tasks including: framing, cabinetry, flooring, tile, doors, windows, trim work, siding, sheeting, countertops, bathtubs, drywall, insulation, painting, concrete, metal sheeting/roofing, etc.-As project lead: coordination and communication between multiple parties including general contractor/owner, homeowner, skilled workers, and other licensed trades, as well as continuing hands-on carpentry work daily.-Creating and maintaining progress reports, managing records of evidence of completed work, and managing budget of multiple concurrent projects.-Ensuring all work is completed to local code as well as complying with any permits to ensure all work passes inspection and is completed to clients’ satisfaction.
