I am currently working as a pre-sales Solutions Consultant where I am responsible for the enterprise compute and network portfolio. I utilize my in-depth knowledge of the Dell Enterprise portfolio to design end to end solutions for customers migrating from legacy IT to modern open platforms while working with integrator, partners and resellers.Specialty area: Dell Server Systems and Network Solutions

I spent approximately six years of my career managing the IT Security program, which I founded in 2005, within the Civil Rights Division where I was responsible for maintaining and managing the security posture of our accredited systems as well as work as an evidence intake authority for sensitive case data. I managed a team of three security professional contractors and 3 contract support professionals, represented the division in the CIO council as well as the IT Security Council. During that time I was also responsible for duties as the senior systems engineer that included, software migrations, network and server systems support of Dell, Cisco and Extreme Hardware, web application development and scripting, and help desk support to internal customers for end user systems including desktops, laptops and phones.Other duties included:- Presenting to division and department executive leadership.- Reporting KPI’s for contract personnel on a monthly basis.- Participation in the leadership awards program (pre-SES) where I presented my final thesis on forecasting retirement of baby boomers and the impact to government.- Lead logistics team for Government wide conference which included the handling of distinguished guests.- Implementation and operations of security hardware and software (Tivoli, McAfee, PaloAlto).Achievements:- Five letters of commendation from The Attorney General- Two exchange migrations- SQL server migration from 2000 to SQL 2013- Network deployment of Extreme Networks, and Force10 switching along with Cisco ASA- Virtualization of servers to VMware across all datacenters.- SAN migration from EMC CX array to EqualLogic Appliance - Designed, Coded and Deployed inventory management system

I built a successful small business interest with over one million dollars in support contract revenue. I was responsible for all day to day operations of the company which included contract negotiation for services. I was also the principle consultant onsite performing services for customers to include hardware installation and support, application development and security functions such as monitoring and remediation.Other duties included:- Financial reporting to state and federal agencies.- KPI reporting to prime contractors and customers- Three service contracts were successfully negotiated to include higher revenue per contract.- Project management of datacenter consolidation and moves.- Application development for modernizing legacy systems.- Help desk support contract – End user, network, server, and storage devices- Security systems support- Network management- Server management: HP, Dell, Sun- Application Management: SQL, Apache, IIS, SharePoint, Exchange- Client management to include image building, end point security and inventory.Achievements:- Letter of commendation from the US Department of Justice

I provided client support for their externally hosted web services. Customers I supported included Ford Motor Company, Anheuser-Busch, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. My tasks included network design, server management and reporting. I regularly interfaced with the clients Executives as well as support teams.
