As the Regional Training Specialist I work with operations on site leadership to develop, implement, facilitate and evaluate training initiatives within my assigned geographic territory of Charlotte, NC and Greenville, SC. As the RTS I work to reinforce MAA’s Core Values. Those values include:Appreciating the uniqueness of each individualCommunicating openly and with integrityEmbracing opportunitiesDoing the right thing at the right time for the right reasonsMy Duties and Responsibilities-Develops, implements, and facilitates training on Yardi systems and applications for property management and leasing. Coordinates onboarding process to assimilate and engage new hires into MAA and communicate training plans through virtual and in-person interactions.Coordinates and facilitates new hire classroom training regionally based on business needs.Continually monitors progress of new hires during the defined post-employment onboarding period (e.g., 9 month program). Provides additional one-on-one training on an as needed basis.Partners with regional and property management to ensure new associates are set up for success in their careers with MAA.Collaborates with regional sales and marketing management to identify any leasing effectiveness training gaps.Conducts a thorough consultation with new hires in leasing regarding the results of mystery shops and opportunities for performance improvement. Provides general guidance to associates within assigned region(s) and provides feedback to common questions and concerns to corporate stakeholders.Facilitates leasing refresher training as needed.Travels within assigned region(s) and/or company wide to facilitate and/or attend training, meetings and events. Provides feedback on program improvements and edits to enforce a cycle of continuous improvement with the program. Previews and provides feedback on strategic initiatives training prior to roll-outs to the entire company.

Greater Atlanta Area

As of December 1, 2016, Post Properties, known as one of the largest developers and operators of upscale multifamily communities in the U.S., was welcomed into MAA (Mid-America Apartment Communities). This combination created the largest multifamily REIT with a total market capitalization of approximately $21 billion (2019). Under the MAA name, this newly merged company offers enhanced capabilities, efficiencies, technology platforms and geographical footprint to deliver superior service and value for associates, residents, and shareholders.

Greater Atlanta Area

• Marketing and sales for The Boston Beer Company selling Samuel Adams, Angry Orchard, Twisted Tea and Traveler beer in northwest metro Atlanta. Responsible for calling on more than 300 accounts in the #5 beer market in the United States.• Worked with bars, restaurants, liquor and grocery stores negotiating & selling the number one craft beer and hard cider in America both on draft and in package. Coordinated events and promotions at bars and restaurants like Stein hoisting competitions, wait staff educations and beer dinners. Also worked with stores executing displays and cooler resets. • Coordinated with companies that host beer festivals in cities all over the state setting up a sampling for festivalgoer’s. Getting kegs, jockey boxes, giveaways, tents, point of sale etc. all delivered and set up. Events would range in size from 300 to 15,000 people.

Rock Hill, Sc

• Responsible leasing and contracts for 48 rental homes and 32 apartments. Marketing homes and apartments to college students around Winthrop University and four other markets on the east coast. • Work closely with prospective tenants from the time they are a lead until they sign their lease and are moved into the property.• Managed active Social Media accounts on Facebook and Twitter. Conducted successful marketing promotions with these social media outlets to current and future tenants.

Charlotte, North Carolina Area

• Marketing and sales of new products for Coca-Cola in NYC. This was a two week summer internship program. I was chosen from over 2,500 interns nationwide and presented to Coca Cola Executives. • Promoted Honest Beverages in retail stores and at consumer events. Used guerilla marketing programs, and did promotional sampling of new organic beverages in southeast market. Responsible for event planning, organizing and execution and reporting in Charlotte, Atlanta, Knoxville and other cities throughout the Southeast.
