One of Eire’s largest house builders which decided to set up in the UK in 1997.Started with a clean sheet and was responsible for devising their products, administration set up, and image. CK prides itself on being efficient and competitive, operating on low overheads with everyone capable of multitasking and having an input into the process within the horizontal management structure. Consequently, oversaw the entire development process. Sites ranged from 25 units through to several sites of over 1,000 homes, with the largest being Sherford’s 5,500 dwellings in Plymouth. CK’s developments quite often set new benchmarks for quality and price, and are sometimes used as exemplar schemes by the local authorities. The developments offer space and individuality and a sense of community and place.Acquired over a number of years 20 acres of land around Coventry Station for which planning (a mammoth process) was achieved for 3,000,000 sq. ft. of offices and mixed use development called ‘Friargate’ having worked closely with the Council and local and national politicians.Acquired a number of other development companies into the Cannon Kirk Group. Offices in London, Glasgow, Dublin and Leicester and a big presence in Berlin.Was a Director of a number of other companies affiliated to Cannon Kirk during this time.
