Designed custom Form Fill Seal automated packaging machinery based on customers' requirements. Also designed and assisted in the installation of machine upgrades on existing equipment. Exclusively used Solidworks for design and FEA analysis as well as Microsoft Office programs and ERP software for BOM creation and maintenance.

· Provided engineering and supervisory support to a full service glass processing operation. This included plant layout refinements, process and machinery improvements, as well as the part time supervision of the plant. Supported the production manager in assuring orders were completed on time; coordinated work flow and prioritized orders for the plant.· Led the effort to begin running two large CNC machines, including a Bavelloni CNC glass machining center, that were purchased used and had not yet functioned. Provided support and guidance for their continued operation.· Assisted in the design and manufacture of a free fall glass rack system to more safely and efficiently supply the cutting tables, leading to a thirty percent increase in throughput capacity.

· Designed and developed marine windshield systems to customers' specifications, as well as value added features to existing products.· Used various tools including CAD modeling, shop equipment, rapid prototyping and vendor resources to bring products from concept to reality.· Several products have been patented or are patent pending. One such product, an adjustable ball and socket hinge, earned an industry wide Innovation Award at the 2008 International Boatbuilders Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) in Miami Beach.

· Was instrumental in establishing a new marine windshield manufacturing facility. Multiple responsibilities included the design of manufacturing processes and tooling, plant layout, quality control, bills of material creation and maintenance as well as support to the prototype department.· Engineering support included determining and implementing process improvements, writing standard operating and safety procedures, creating quality standards and providing drawings and the tools necessary for proper fabrication and assembly of parts.· Assisted maintenance department with troubleshooting and repair of production equipment, including a pair of 20 ton CNC stretch forming machines.

· Worked with customers and potential customers regarding product requirements, taking measurements and collecting data with a Faro 3D Coordinate Measuring Machine.· Produced quotations, drawings and made recommendations to utilize existing tooling and inventory when possible, reducing customer costs.· Continued to provide customer service and support when necessary, including travel to customers' facilities to fit prototypes and resolve field issues. Responded to customer requests and quality issues, including completion of Corrective Action Requests and Engineering Change Notices.· Sales increase of forty percent a year for five straight years.

· Duties encompassed all activities related to the design of marine engine systems, including CAD drafting, prototype development/testing and data acquisition and analysis.· Interfaced with customers including United States Navy to resolve field issues, address new design requirements and commission new products. Also communicated with vendors regarding new part designs and solving issues with existing products.· Worked in a very hands-on environment, requiring knowledge and use of manufacturing techniques and equipment to complete design objectives.

· Multiple responsibilities included organizing the development and streamlining of systems to facilitate manufacturing of curved tempered glass. This included equipment acquisition, process improvement and troubleshooting of plant equipment.· Performed a variety of functions when necessary including CAD drafting, programming CNC equipment, building prototypes, developing tooling and assisting with the training of production personnel.· Worked with the aluminum fabrication division to improve work flow and determine the cause of fitment issues. This included travel to another fabrication plant in Tifton, Georgia for multiple, extended trips to streamline and modernize their operation and provide training and engineering support.
