Contracts manager for the lead contractor on the Ingula Pumped Storage System (IPSS) in South Africa - Scheme is a joint venture by Eskom and CMC Impregilo Mavundla - The IPSS consists of an upper and a lower dam 4.6 km apart and connected by tunnels. The underground powerhouse will house 4 x 333 megawatts reversible pump-turbines. - The overall budget for the project is R27 billion. - Revenue is €3,945M, with Operating Income at €198M and profit at €30M. The scheme employees 28.000 people (as of 2013).My responsibilities include: - Ensuring the proper interpretation and implementation of the technical and administrative requirements specified in clauses and contractual specifications. - Negotiating contract terms and payment schedules, ensuring that the agreements with the Eskom, our client, and subcontractors are commercially advantageous. - Proposing solutions to the Project Manager to improve the contractual clauses that have to be proposed for Eskom’s approval. - Supporting the formulation and negotiation of project contractual claims. - Ensuring compliance with the project specific contractual administration requirements. - Providing advice, assistance and guidance to management, project managers and functions on project specific contractual matters.Through these responsibilities I have: - Gained substantial experience in the use of the full potential of the NEC3 Contract. - Increased my experience in working with a multi-national work force. - Continued to increase my negotiating and senior management skills.

In 2004 we completed a total refurbishment of the six operating theatres, with the services alone costing almost €350,000.- Completion of an Energy Monitoring and Targeting Project for St. James's Hospital in Dublin- Completion a major Energy Study of the Central Bank of Ireland Head Quarters, in Dame Street, Dublin, in 1996which was revised in 1999.- Industrial and commercial developments, community centres and sheltered accommodation, restaurants and a leisure centre.- Large exclusive dwelling houses(both new and existing), office refurbishments, inner city housing refurbishment projects with Dublin City Council.
