Michael Bugbee is Vice President and General Manager, Americas for Tenneco's Powertrain business group. He leads the regional business with 25 manufacturing locations that provide industry-leading powertrain and transportation components and solutions to Global Automotive, CTOH, and Industrial OEM’s. In his last role, Michael was Executive Director, Sales, Powertrain Americas, where he led all commercial, sales, and marketing activities for the region. He also served as Commercial Director, Clean Air & Powertrain, for the Office of Strategic Execution, with responsibility for commercial transformation, driving margin enhancement, process change, and new business capture improvements. Prior to that, Mr. Bugbee led the successful divestiture of the Lighting Product line. A $60M business which he managed for several years with full P&L, Operations, Sales, Engineering, and M&A responsibility - including operations in Juarez, MX and Manaus, BR. Over that time Michael also served as Director, Global Sales & Marketing, Valves and VSG, leading a sales organization responsible for 17 engine valve and powder metal seat & guide plants around the world. Previous roles include Customer Director, General Motors, where he had GM commercial responsibility across all Tenneco Powertrain product lines. During his tenure he helped foster an improved partnership which led to earning the GM Supplier of the Year Award in 2019. Mr. Bugbee also previously served as Director of International Trade where he had global responsibility for Indirect Tax, Trade Compliance, and Transportation. He built a global organization and developed an innovative approach to managing all trade related activities to create synergies, mitigate risk, drive savings and provide enhanced support for the company’s manufacturing operations. He was previously Director of Customer Financial Services, where he worked extensively with the company’s international operations & Finance, including an assignment in Wiesbaden, Germany. Currently based in Plymouth, Michigan Mr. Bugbee has been with Tenneco, formerly Federal-Mogul, for over 22 years serving in multiple leadership roles in North America and Europe. Mr. Bugbee holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI, and an MBA from Walsh College of Accountancy, Troy, MI
