Started as a new Over the Road driver with Hazmat endorsement adhering to the Department of Transportation & company guidelines. Ensured all routinely scheduled safety training and unit maintenance was up to date. Quickly was promoted to Driver Trainer within five months. During this time, I took on new employees to the company and mentored them for the first two months as a co-driver on my truck. Afterward, they were promoted to their solo position and was responsible for continuing to keep in contact with them if they need further assistance while on the job. In 2006 was offered a position in the office at the dedicated site, Family Dollar warehouse, as a Transportation Supervisor.
