After graduating with a Bachelors Degree in History from UNBSJ an opportunity presented itself in the IT community to work with IneoQuest Technologies. The position was at the entry level and consisted of testing and debugging new builds of a few different software products. This also included setting up and managing lab testing environments. I held this position for about six months before moving on to do technical support as a Technical Support Specialist for the products I had previously been testing. This gave me more experience dealing directly with customers and their varying environments. This also exposed me to the different ways customers managed their labs and production environments and how the product was utilized in a real world setting. I stayed working in the technical support role for about 18 months. During that time I changed roles to become a Senior Technical Support Engineer. I moved on from the technical support role in 2016 and became a member of the Sales and Marketing team to expand my experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, the CenturyLink Cloud, and VMware. While technically working under sales and marketing my role as a Solutions Engineer is more focused on migrating the companies products to the cloud from bare metal. In this environment products quickly go from experimental to in production in some cases. This role includes managing multiple cloud environments, constant testing and development, rapid prototyping, and direct customer engagement.During my time at IneoQuest/Telestream I have gained experience working with several platforms including; Linux, VMWare ESXi, AWS, CLC, GCP, and Docker. I also have experience with bare metal labs and have been responsible for networking, managing content availability, software upgrades, and hardware changes.
