Whilst at SIB, I have gained experience of “end to end” social investment provision;Assessing and disbursing many millions in loan and grant funding from multiple funds to a wide variety of Charities and Social Enterprises.Portfolio Management of live investments covering reviews of both financial and social output achievement/performance v’s planned as well as assessing any variations required.Currently in a Risk Management role where, working within the Credit Team, with responsibility direct to the internal and external investment Committees/fund holders, I am responsible for management of a diverse portfolio of “specialist”/Cause for Concern cases worth over £23m loan capital (excluding grant support) which have been identified as at risk, therefore, outside of the general portfolio and requiring a more intense relationship.My current Risk Management role quite often includes wider stakeholder involvement other than the investee including (but not limited to), commissioners, senior Local Authority individuals and even MP’s for instance. Fundamental to this role is the professional and positive management of relationships and expectations of all stakeholders, very often is situations with multiple challenges often including capital build projects, changes to the macro or micro environment and/or involving multiple funders.
