Assist with firm legal and compliance matters including:- review and implementation of new obligations due to changing financial services laws;- drafting forms including core proofs for Australian Financial Services Licence applications;- advising the firm on basic Corporations Act matters such as disclosure obligations;- reviewing service contracts and provide summaries of the key terms;- monitoring leases for the firm, including negotiating with lessors and lessees of the… Show more Assist with firm legal and compliance matters including:- review and implementation of new obligations due to changing financial services laws;- drafting forms including core proofs for Australian Financial Services Licence applications;- advising the firm on basic Corporations Act matters such as disclosure obligations;- reviewing service contracts and provide summaries of the key terms;- monitoring leases for the firm, including negotiating with lessors and lessees of the firm.- draft ASIC Consultation Paper responses on behalf of the firm;- assist the Compliance Manager to ensure Australian Financial Services Licence conditions are adhered to at all times by employees of the firm;- ensure advisers are meeting ASIC and ASX compliance obligations through performing checks on statements of advice, Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing Program regulations and general Corporations Act provisions;- draft in-house training as required;- perform in-house Register Maintenance, including checking compliance certificates for:- Sophisticated Investors Register; and- Managed Discretionary Account Register.- research legislation to ensure policies and procedures are compliant and update as required with explanatory notes;- Policies & Procedures Manual Maintenance – (updates/amendments); and- audits (rolling monthly) – ensure the firm’s processes and procedures meet ASX and ASIC requirements and prepare subsequent reports for the Compliance Committee.
