A senior strategist, negotiator, and adviser in the energy sector for more than 30 years and currently Vice President, Corporate Director and Global Director for Climate and Energy Policy for Dow Canada. Representing Dow on several Boards and international committees focusing on sustainability, circular economy and decarbonization issues. Current responsibilities include Dow pension board member, overseeing Dow’s global policy for climate, energy and sustainability, plastic waste management and marine debris initiatives, decarbonization, regulatory operations, government affairs, public affairs, issues management, Chief Privacy Officer for Dow’s Canadian operations, and advisor to the business development team.As a sustainability, circular economy and decarbonization expert, I have successfully directed the business and policy development, government liaison, start-up and implementation of several companies and operational divisions within the petrochemical and energy sectors, including two successful IPOs for energy corporations. Specializing in sustainable manufacturing operations, new project development and start-up operations. In addition to these activities, I have been responsible for developing, operating, and negotiating on behalf of several energy companies as well as helping develop policy for the Canadian based Alberta Energy Regulator (AER). I’ve evaluated numerous energy technologies and developed detailed plans on marketing these technologies to stakeholders and governments at all levels.I have designed and implemented several new businesses with indigenous organizations, oversaw multiple teams of JV employees and directed all liability, regulatory and environmental aspects during multibillion dollar projects.
