•Introduceded a business-led approach within sutton Coldfield town centre, through development of Sutton In Partnership network, Sutton Expo event to promote town centre businesses to local people and series of phyiscal improvemtns across the town centre.Led Business Link Black Country approach in forming partnerships with other key agencies across the Black Country, including local authorities, Regenerations Zones, New Deal for Communities, Technology Corridor, business incubator partnerships, universities and health in the workplace. Member of various Black Country Consortium economic development groups in support of the Black Country 30-year vision.• Produced research/policy documents in support of the development of new approaches to business support. Documents include work on BME business support and “Business friendly” business services.• Led groups of advisers to develop bespoke services that were designed to meet needs of client companies. Services developed included assisting inward investing companies to find land and premises, carry out feasibility studies to find best options obtain funding and recruit and train new staff.• Merged adviser teams from thee enterprise agencies to provide the first holistic start up support service in the Black Country, forging links to Universities, community enterprise groups, and local authority agencies and overseeing the setting up of a pan-Black Country Loan Fund. • Member of Knowledge Management Centre (KMC) team at University of Central England that developed approaches to knowledge management (KM) that are relevant to small and medium –sized businesses.
