In charge of DevOps. Initially moved our systems into AWS Fargate. Moved from Fargate toAWS ECS, to Kubernetes provisioned via Kops on AWS, and then GKE. AWS Kubernetes wasrunning in a private network requiring an SSH tunnel through a bastion that by itself had noaccess to K8s. Ran primarily off spot instances using the spot termination handler and mixedinstance groups. Use cluster autoscaler to manage number of nodes in primary node pool.Manage instance groups/node pools for Elasticsearch and in house containers requiring localstorage. Ingress and monitoring via Istio/Prometheus/Grafana. Kustomize is used to changenamespaces, taints/tolerations, pod priorities, replicas, disruption budgets, volumes, and envvars. Terraform is used to set up all aspects of the infrastructure, such as VPC peering, S3, IAMpermissions, Cloudfront, etc. Used Gitlab CI/CD, implemented K8s runners, then switched toGithub Actions w/K8s runners for CI and ArgoCD for CD. In AWS used Blue/Greendeployment for Kubernetes/Istio upgrades. In GKE we switched to multiple live clusters. Wentthrough SOC-II certification. Pen Test came back with "Congratulations" as only one extremelyminor issue was found.

Wrote custom CI system backed by ZFS de-duplication where every PR was automatically spun up as a site on a local dev server. Migrated servers from Rackspace to Linode with zero down time. All services were spun up in one day on the new provider, and had MySQL masters synced on both cloud providers via Galera.
