AVIATRAX TECHNICS, a Continuous Airworthiness Management Organization subpart G and I approval, issued by the UK CAA (EASA Part M requirements) and Cayman CAA (OTAR 39 requirements), and also Maintenance Coordinator approval under the provisions of the Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) Order or AN(OT)O, which governs the operational control and airworthiness of Cayman registered aircraft.Services provided:Continuing Airworthiness Management;Maintenance organisation selection and contract negotiation of maintenance support contracts and the oversight of aircraft maintenance;The management of warranty or service support contract(s);Survey of an aircraft and the aircraft's technical records and aircraft technical library support;The development, approval, management and printing of a technical log and MEL;Oversight of the aircraft delivery, including the application for CofR, CofA, radio licence, noise certificate, navigation approval, registration of the ELT's, mode S and SELCAL codes; andAudit services

Amber Aviation was a start up company offering total aviation support to individual owners of aircraft and airlines. Contracted out the following professional services to clients: Quality Manager of an airline; Provided technical consultancy services on: Aircraft selection; Setting up an organisation in accordance with EASA Part M Subpart G and I and EASA Part 145; Carry out physical surveys of aircraft and/or audit of the technical records, on behalf of the aircraft owner, leasing company, prospective purchaser’s etc; Writing aircraft maintenance program and/or MEL and/or technical log; Was the Continued Airworthiness Manager for a non-commercially operated Gulfstream.

Key functions included:Provide airworthiness related assistance to clients, particularly with relationship to EASA Part M continued airworthiness activates.Provide auditing services to clients with relationship to EASA Part M and Part 145.In addition I was AVISA’s Quality Manager for their continued airworthiness management EASA Part M Subpart G approval.Once the backlog of work was cleared AVISA had no further work for me as they did not get the contract I was initially employed to manage.

Discharge the duties and responsibilities of a quality and a safety manger as required by EASA Part M and JAR OPS 1.

This was a sort term contract to develop and introduce a quality control system into the Flight Operations, Operations, Ground Operations, Engineering and Maintenance departments.

I joined the company as part of the new management team after the company had failed and the previous management team had resigned or retired. The holding company had surrendered the Organisation’s approvals. My first job was to meet with FAA, EASA (CAA) and the Ugandan CAA to put together an action plan to get the Organisation’s approvals reinstated. All the company’s approvals were reinstated within 3 months. To turn the company around and have the Organisation’s approvals reinstated required the introduction of a quality system, redevelopment of the facilities, repair and/or overhaul of all existing tools and equipment, purchase of new tools and equipment, a training program that not only meet the Regulatory Authority requirements, the new quality system but to change the working culture to one that was customer focused. The quality system required the writing of an Exposition and associated procedures manuals along with the design and introduction of new forms. As a member of the senior management team I have been very heavily involved in the development of the company’s business plan that has involved entering into a partnership with an EASA Part 147 Organisation so that we provide training internally and externally, meeting with and developing the relationship and scope of work with new customers as well as extending the Organisations scope of approval and the addition of more approvals. Duties and Responsibilities: Negotiating on behalf of the Organisation with regard to the company’s approvals and continuance of the same. Meeting with prospective customers to establish the work requirement and what their expectations are. Investigating and answering customer complaints. Management of the Organisation’s Exposition and associated procedures manuals. Management and administration of the Organisation’s Quality System. The development and approval of training.

Develop and produce a quality and safety system required by EASA Part 145, EASA Part M, and JAR OPS 1.As it was a start up airline the MME (CAME) and associated procedures manuals, Ops Manual Part A had to be written.

Duties and Responsibilities: Negotiate with the UK CAA and third parties on maters affecting airworthiness, particularly the introduction into service of new and used aircraft and the return of aircraft at the end of lease or sub leasing of aircraft to another operator. Making recommendations to the UK CAA for the renewal of the Certificate of Airworthiness following checks to ensure all airworthiness directives, maintenance required by the maintenance program, deferred defects, concessions and variations have been complied with. Make application for the issue of Certificate of Registration, Certificate of Airworthiness, Radio Licence, Noise Certificate and Certificate of Insurance prior to the delivery of new aircraft. Accept new aircraft on behalf of the company. Co-ordinate the introduction into service of new and used aircraft into the fleet including the E3 review. Make application for the Export Certificate of Airworthiness and deregistration of the aircraft following end of lease of the aircraft. Write the new procedures, generate the associated forms and the review program required to demonstrate compliance with the new European Civil Aviation Requirement Part M subpart G. (Continued Airworthiness Review). Ensure continued airworthiness of the aircraft in the fleet by checking compliance with airworthiness directives, maintenance required by the maintenance program, variations, concessions and deferred defects have been cleared within the required time limits.
