I have currently been employed during the construction and start up of the brand new Energy from Waste facility to assist in the commissioning phase and bringing to life the new state of the art plant, with a view to become a fully competent Production Technician / Control Room Operator once the plant is on line ( Scheduled 2015 ). The job entails pressure testing, line walks, flow checks, P&ID verification, troubleshooting and fault finding, as well as learning all DCS control narratives, and extensively learning the process inside-out. The process itself involves Plasma Gasification of the MSW, the subsequent syngas clean up, sulphur removal and seven stage compression of the syngas in order to fire two parallel trains of Solar Gas Turbines that will provide 35 Mega Watts of Green Energy for Teesside, as well as maintaining all associated Plant Utilities

Continuous running of a bio-ethanol plant.Working on a 12hr shift rotation days & nights.Monitor and operate all equipment including Emerson Delta V DCS system and fire panel.React to any conditions that may develop.Also being a member of the emergency response team.Adhearing to safety regulations being a top tier comah site.Working on a permit to work system.Permit issuer and accepter.Doing all lab analysis - HPLC/GC/Titrations etc....Assisting the mechanical technician on some maintenance work such as blower routines and changing valves,gaskets,blanks,slip plates etc... Commissioning and de-commissioning.Tanker loading and off loading.

Continuous running of Nylon 6:6 batch polymer production plant.Working a 12hr shift rotation days and nights.Monitoring of temperatures and pressures in a autoclave and machinery also the quality of the finished product.Assisting the mechanical technician in some maintenance work such as changing casting heads, blower routines,fitting closure plates and lagging mats.Good knowledge of DCS honeywell multi phase system.Adhearing to safety regulations and company standards COSHH , SHE, COMAH.Assisting the shift manager with work permits.Also a member of the emergency response team.

Day to day running of the production plant.Working 12hr shift rotation days and nights.Lead the members of the production cell to maximise machine utilisation, optimise outcome and minimise scrap.Lead and develop people in a safe and effective manner.Responsible for total quality product manufactured on the plant.Ensure production units run to standard operating conditions and look to optimise outputs were possible.Zero lost time accidents.Ensure safety audits are completed and any identified actions raised with the shift manager.Actively develop and promote good communications taking primary direction from the shift manager.Ensuring colleagues are wearing appropriate PPE at all times.Attendance at senior management production meetings.Training of new employees to process operator standards.
