I am currently Chief Consultant in the field of flooding, hydrology and flood forecasting as well as Adjunct Professor at the Division of Water Resource Engineering (TVRL), Lund University. My more than 25 years of professional experience in flood & water resources management and hydrology includes hydrological and geophysical fieldwork, hydrological data analysis, network design, the development and application of hydrological databases. I have developed and applied integrated models (surface- and groundwater) in water resources, flooding urban hydrology, eco-hydrology and water quality management applications. I have managed, designed and delivered novel decision support tools within flood forecasting, nitrate management, climate change & adaption and water resource planning. My international experience includes water resources and flood management projects in the United States, Bangladesh, India, Hong Kong, China, Central America, Chile, Poland and the United Kingdom. I have also been involved in a number of research projects related to climate change and has worked on climate change projects related to water resources in India, Denmark, Egypt as well as the entire Nile Basin.My research interests include surface water-groundwater interactions, eco-hydrology, flood management & forecasting, data assimilation & uncertainty, radar, satellite and UAV remote sensing in hydrological modelling, coupling with meteorological models, climate impacts & adaptation.
