Key Responsibilities are - • Co-ordinating activities of 3 shift teams to deliver production schedule targets.• Actively developing and implementing continuous improvement programs for packaging operational performance.• Actively supporting the site HSE program in developing a safety culture to significantly improve health and safety outcomes for our employees and contractors. • Manage and monitor resources within the Packaging teams to achieve product, cost, quality targets including communicating and rectifying non-conformances.• Develop and maintain a positive, healthy workplace culture that promotes safety, quality, and continuous improvement.• Coach and mentor Shift and Team Leaders in role as people managers.• Assist and support Shift and Team Leaders with recruitment and training programs and development of people in teams.• Support the Supply Chain and Sales/Marketing teams to achieve product targets.• Lead the implementation of Deming principles and statistical process control across the site.• Ensure productive two-way communication with teams.• Implement and maintain compliance with food safety and quality management systems (BRC level 1).• Ensure continued compliance with the TWE HSE Policy and take responsibility for solving and/or reporting workplace hazards.• Work closely and cooperate with other Department Managers to ensure uniformity of operations.• Work closely with Capability and Reliability engineers to achieve optimum line performance.• Manage expenditure in line with agreed budget target.• Sustain and improve development of CI program.• Conduct and coach P & R sessions, standardisation, 5S and waste reduction in line with the Toyota Production System.
