Role; The OT Infield technician role is to manage, repair and maintain hardware on all operational technologies on site and within the mobile plant. They are also called upon to perform limited software checks. These systems include and are not limited to • Cat Minestar fleet • Cat minestar terrain • PLE • GE/GA drive systems connected to minestar • DSS driver safety systems • Payload systems connected to minestar • 2 way radio • Tyre Monitoring • LTE components The responsibilities of the role include and are not limited to;1. To maintain all systems in a working condition. This includes regular inspections and reporting 2. To repair any breakdown fault that may occur during operation 3. Ordering of parts to maintain systems and stock levels in both the workshop and the service vehicle.4. New installation of any components that are required 5. Continual improvement initiative of all systems 6. Correct information gathering by use of SAP to create and populate workorders with relevant information.7. Be on call when on site for breakdown events in evening hours. The skills required for this role are.A) Advanced diagnostic and fault finding skills.B) A strong commitment to safety C) A drive for continual improvement D) Strong team work E) Good communication skills F) Good computer skills G) Must have c class drivers licence H) Must be able to work independently when required.
